New Zealand's university term Settings show some diversity, but generally the New Zealand university term system can be summed up in two main models:

Two-semester system: Some information indicates that the University of New Zealand year is divided into two semesters。The first semester begins in February and lasts until June; The second semester begins in July and lasts until November。Each semester usually consists of 13 to 14 weeks of teaching time, plus a week of revision time and exam time。

The time of this two-semester system is basically the same as the semester setting of Australian universities。

Four-semester system: There are also descriptions of the four-semester system adopted by New Zealand universities, with terms divided as follows: Term 1 runs from mid-February to early April, Term 2 runs from late April to mid-June, Term 3 runs from early July to early September, and Term 4 runs from late September to late November。Under this system, each semester is relatively short, providing students with more frequent enrollment and course selection opportunities。

It is worth noting that different universities may have their own specific semester schedule, some may prefer a two-semester system, while others may implement a four-semester system, or provide more flexible term intervals, such as trimester (three-semester system).。Therefore, when it comes to a particular university, it is best to refer directly to the official academic calendar of the university for the most accurate start and end dates and detailed arrangements for the semester。

In addition, New Zealand universities generally offer foundation courses to provide a transition for international students to adapt to the New Zealand education system and improve their language skills。Regardless of the semester system, the University of New Zealand emphasizes the practical application of the course, and the degree is recognized globally, providing excellent conditions for students to integrate into learning and living in an English environment。
