The 5 million 188 visa is valid for 4 years and must meet the 160 day residency requirement。After 4 years, there are 2 options:
You can apply for an 888 green card。However, after obtaining the 888 green card, you must meet the general green card residency requirements, such as living in Australia for two years out of five years to extend the green card, or living in Australia for three years out of four years to obtain an Australian passport。
Can be renewed 2 times, each time for 2 years。For each 2-year extension, an additional 80 days are required。After 6 or 8 years, you can transfer the 888 green card at any time if you meet the residency requirements。
